Long weekends, hot weather and alcohol have proven to be a troublesome cocktail for Western Australians again.

The Queens birthday long weekend has been punctuated with several violent and drunken events in the city and along the coast. 6PR heard from witnesses and reporters who were present witnessed the events and clean up operations at East Perth and the Scarborough beach front.

The Parklife Music Festival attracted a huge crowd of revelers but according to East Perth resident June it also provided a backdrop for anti social behavior and criminal activity including urinating in the middle of the street as well as the alleged consumption of drugs on her letterbox.

Meanwhile as the temperature soared to over 35 degrees lifesavers and the police were kept busy with alcohol fueled bad behavior which eventually spiraled out of control at Scarborough Beach. Channel 9's Tracey Vo was there this morning to report on the clean up of mess left behind by beach goers and the near riot that tied up police resources yesterday.
