Minister can't help growers

Federal Agriculture Minister Joe Ludwig says the decision by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority to ban stone fruit growers from using pesticide Fenthion will stand. Paul Murray spoke to Mr Ludwig about the decision and the minister's reluctance to step in.

  • I would like to know if the minister knows the solutions or alteratives that the working group came up with? Mr Ludwig keep talking about this group, but fails to understand that NO effective alternatives were found. It is just untrue industry has sat idle, industry has spend more than 35 million on trying to find a solution. None has been found
