'Lethal' Leisel in form furore

Leisel Jones is being accused of being on an Olympic holiday following the release of these photos.

Photographs of defending Olympic Breaststroke champion Leisel Jones carrying more weight than she did at the 2008 Games have ignited a debate over her preparation. Paul Murray spoke to three time Olympian Lisa Curry about the issue.

  • Who cares what she looks like? I don't. I thought an Olympian's ablility to perform well is more important than what they look like. This isn't modelling. As this interview has stated, she has qualified to be there on her times not her looks. So what if she is a bit heavier. What about some professional cricketers back in the 70's that used to have a smoke and a beer while padded up waiting for their turn to bat! Way too much pressure is put on athletes today. As long as Leisel does her best people shouldn't be having a dig at her. Well said Lisa!I would like to see Michael Cowley get in the pool with Leisel and have a race with her, I bet she would #@*$ all over him.
