Kate Campbell will finally receive compensation from the Woollard family.

The four year legal battle for boat crash victim Kate Campbell to receive compensation for injuries caused by Luke Woollard is finally over. Paul Murray spoke to Kate about the $250,000 offer made by Luke's mother, independent Alfred Cove MP Janet Woollard.

Blog comments Your Say

  • The despicable way in which the matter was handled by the Wollards will have consequences come next March, 2013 (State Election)
Janet Wollard is gone for all money, in her once safe seat of Alfred Cove.

  • I couldn't figure why Kate's legal people didn't talk about the possibility that Luke Woollard had an interest or was a beneficiary of a trust or similar, so I think it was more like the the game was up if they didn't want to make public overall the family financials now everyone can move on and let Kate deal with the consequences of her injuries and the treatment she requires into the future.

  • It's about time and I am very happy for Kate. The pressure must have finally got to Janet Woollard and I hope she makes Luke pay her back.
