Johnson breaks silence on sacking
Premier Colin Barnett announced his new-look cabinet yesterday, which saw Rob Johnson lose his ministerial portfolio. At the time, Rob Johnson was at a national conference for police ministers. The former Police Minister told Howard Sattler he was not happy with the decision.

quigley said it best, 'johnson is an empty vessel in parliament.' barnett's decision was a smart move. johnson has not made a single independent decision that has not been an echo or cheer-leading of others ie the police commissioner, karl o'callaghan, the police union and even christian porter. he has shown no actual leadership whatsoever. indeed, why even have a minister for police if they simply echo or cheer-lead the commissioner and the union. no wonder the police union love him so much. coppers are power hungry by nature and love nothing more than a police state and a green light to do whatever they like without examination. barnett, johnson and the ccc have allowed them to do just that. consequently, and despite government propaganda and hyperbole, the wapol has not been this corrupt for more than 20 years. histor/even a simple understanding of psychology has proven that society must never turn its back on its police force.
