Heartland turns on Barnett

Colin Barnett's lack of consultation has angered powerful Western suburbs residents.

A group of high profile western suburbs residents have joined forces to rally against state government's lack of public consultation on major issues. Paul Murray spoke to Colin Latchem form the newly formed Western Suburbs Alliance.

  • hear hear...thank God there still exists influential people that have managed to maintain their own integrity despite the apathy that is the status quo. barnett and his band of hoods have been pissing on western australians and calling it lemonade for too long. barnett blatantly and arrogantly ignores the voting (and employing) public whilst refusing to make his ministers and resource managers accountable. instead he relies on misinformation, propaganda and avoidance to escape any responsibility. if the western suburb alliance run for parliament i will vote for them. if they show me a petition i will sign it. if they tell me how i can support it, consider it done.

  • What a breath of fresh air! This new group has my full support. Watching this government's attacks on democracy, our public land and environment has been depressing and extremely worrying.

One good thing that has come out of these Barnett government shenanigans, is that dinner party conversations are so much more interesting, the taboo subject of politics seems to be back in fashion (even in Ć¢??polite companyĆ¢??).
