Conspiracy stalls solar car
Chris Sparsi is a Perth inventor who believes his solar powered car has been stopped in its tracks by a media conspiracy. In an effort to prove 6PR's independence Steve Mills spoke to Chris about his invention.

It seems to me that Chris has hit the same wall every inventor hits - ie marketing his product and getting people interested. His situation is not unusual IMHO. I have some concerns about the energy balance - a solar panel produces 190w in full sun so in 10 hours it produces 1.9kWh in perfect conditions. How far that will take you is dependent on many factors but to say the car battery will fully recharge in 1day seems too good to be true. I'm sure that solar cell recharging of batteries has been tried before as it's an obvious solution and I'm sure it's the energy balance that makes it unlikely to work In a commercial situation and thus does not attract interest.

Oil is wealth & wealth is power. Many major inventions go by the wayside & have done for 50yrs or more. Chris Sparsi should take his invention to China. I am here & can be contacted on my email.
