Canberra calling, Porter quits

Christian Porter has announced he has his sights set on a tilt at federal politics.

Christian Porter has officially resigned as the states Treasurer and Attorney General and will pursue a career in federal politics. Mr Porter cited a desire to follow his own political path and felt he could make a bigger difference for WA on a federal level.

  • Just wondering. How long does it take an aspiring Federal Pollie to canvass an electorate,because I received an "enrol to vote" card from the AEC recently and it gave me pause to think: is this an indication that there'll be a Federal Election sooner than anticipated?
