Aussie soldiers slain in Afghanistan
The Australian Defence force has confirmed personnel have been killed in an incident in Afghanistan, with fears the number of soldiers slain could be three.
In a statement, the Defence force said: ''Defence can confirm that Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel have been killed in Afghanistan.
They have not revealed how many Australian fatalities there were in the incident.
The International Security Assistance Force said an individual wearing an Afghan National Army uniform turned his weapon on international soldiers.
''Defence is currently in the process of informing the Next of Kin of the ADF personnel involved," the ADF statement said.
''Defence requests you respect the highly sensitive nature of this notification process.
"The Acting Chief of the Defence Force will make a statement once this process is complete.''
There are more than 1,500 Australian soldiers currently in Oruzgan province.
Last year, four Australian soldiers were killed by Afghan troops in two attacks.

I hope our troops come home soon. Why aren't the boat people fighting their own battles instead of getting our tax payers funds. What makes me sick is that the Gillard/Green govt has made cut backs for our soldiers to pay their own trip home for Xmas.
